Will this router help you on online playing call of duty?

No. Buying a more expensive or more powerful router, will not help your gaming experience. If you feel that your online gaming experience is sub-par because of network related issues, then run some simple diagnostics. You could have a modem problem, damaged ethernet cable, too many people hogging your bandwidth etc. And if you're playing online competitively, you should only be using an ethernet cable. WiFi is NOT to be used if you're serious about gaming. Period.

In all honesty, this is certainly a capable router and will be a good fit for many. It will provide fantastic speeds and will be a nice upgrade for older routers not capable of keeping up with the increasing internet speeds provided today by most ISPs.

Unfortunately, Netgear decided to dramatically change the internal components and then still sell it under the same name (R6700). With that said, Amazon has a little product alert indicating either R6700 or R6700v2. Well, they are shipping the R6700v2 which does not match some of the specifications shown on this page (in particular the CPU speed).

NETGEAR Nighthawk AX12 12-Stream WiFi 6 Router

I know because after receiving a router that did not match, they offered to replace it and send the first version of the router (the one with the higher clock speeds as indicated on the actual product details) and ended up receiving the same thing (another V2).

I will say that for those interested in a router that will not be flashed with custom software or that will not use other more advanced functions a router can provide, this is no problem. For those of us that know the hardware and know what we are expecting, that is a problem.

I have it a 3 star because any company that makes an original version with better specs and then turns around and significantly changes this without changing the model number and making minor modifications on the box (see amazon's own photos - both boxes are pictured) simply does not deserve my trust. Speaking of ratings, many of the ratings you see here are lumped up with other Netgear products and also apply to the original more capable version.

I encourage you do your research and check reviews from different sources. This way, you will not be disappointed with the V2 that you will receive.

What is the sq space that covers this router?

Depends on structure of home also.. 4 story 3900 sq ft prob is diff then 3900 sq ft ranch or two story open floor plan. Always best to test..

Coverage is weaker than the router that came with my Verizon Fios. Get a router designed for coverage, this aint it, it was designed to continue the spectacle that "hi-end" routers have become, not worth the money!
Don't waste your time getting the new AX (wifi 6) tech since its not readily available in devices they said. Don't spend the money cause its gonna be like a normal router for a couple of years until more are released.
Netgear Nighthawk x4s Manual Smart WiFi Router UP to 2600 Mbps, I spent 3+ weeks trying out different solutions on wifi. I tried Orbi mesh. While that is a good product, I am not really in need of a mesh. Speeds averaged 460-525 Mbps. (I tested at different times of day but same time frames with other products).I tried the XR500 Nighthawk that is one of the highest rated devices with DumaOS. So many issues that I was losing my mind. I tried several fixes. Separate the bands, channels, etc. My security cams were going offline every 30 mins or so for at least 15. I was so fed up with trying to trouble shoot the device. My speeds were 580 - 670 Mbps with it which I did enjoy. But speed is only useful if its actually CONNECTED to the devices.
Last ditch effort I tried this router. The RAX80 and holy moly. Plugged in, used the mobile app and was up within 5 mins. Every device attached with no issues. No disconnects after multiple days use. Speed improvement on every item. I have 38 devices accessing my wifi as part of the smart home. This monster just cranks it out. No problems at all. My speed on several tests as compared to the same day/ time as the ones above - 830-960 Mbps I am not sure why its such a huge improvement but it is.
 I cannot say enough good things about this router. Not only is is a monster with handling speeds and multiple devices - just look at it. It is not one you want to hide. You want to show this baby off. Several people have asked me what the space ship is. This thing went from being in an Amazon box to installed and cranking out wifi / lan within 10 minutes and NOT a single drop of signal. I am future proof as well. So I say if you can afford it, do not hesitate. You will really like it Netgear Nighthawk x4s Manual Smart WiFi Router UP to 2600 Mbps.
